Senior Designer - Electrical

Responsibilities

• Execute work packages, 3D modeling, and layout design within project timelines in an EPC environment.
• Ensure design quality adheres to job manuals and QA checklist requirements.
• Generate various layouts, installation drawings, and MTOs based on engineering workflows.
• Perform modeling and layout detail design, including cable routing, earthing/grounding, lighting, and lightning protection.
• Review vendor drawings related to plant design, HSE, and QA/QC.
• Participate in model reviews, generate clash reports, and resolve conflicts.
• Communicate project status, progress, and man-hours to the Lead Engineer.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities during project execution.

Requirements

• Diploma or BE in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in EPC or detail design engineering.
• Proven experience in sectors such as Oil & Gas, Air Separation, Energy, Refining, or Petrochemicals.
• Proficiency in Smart Plant 3D (SP3D) and AutoCAD.
• Extensive experience in layout engineering, including cable routing (above and underground), conduit/tray sizing, and substation layout design.
• Strong ability to extract Bulk MTOs from 3D models.
