Senior Design Specialist - Wireless Voice Core & IMS

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of IMS and Wireless Voice Core systems including P/I/S-CSCF, SBC, TAS, and ENUM.
• Design and support critical voice services such as VoLTE, VoWiFi, emergency services, roaming, and interconnect.
• Deploy and maintain scalable, carrier-grade IMS systems optimized for performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Create CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment within containerized environments.
• Analyze network performance, optimize architecture, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with RAN, Packet Core, Policy, and Infrastructure teams on integrated solutions.
• Manage vendor relationships and influence product roadmaps.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in 3G/4G/5G Voice Core (architecture, design, implementation, and operations).
• Deep expertise in IMS architecture, interfaces (Gm, Cx, Dx, Sh, Rx, Rf, ISC, Mw), and call session control functions.
• Strong knowledge of signaling protocols including SIP, Diameter, H248, SS7, CAMEL, RTP/RTCP, GTP, and 5G protocols.
• Hands-on experience with IMS vendors such as Ericsson or Nokia.
• Expertise in containerization technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Proficiency in TCP/IP networking fundamentals (TCP/UDP/IP/SCTP/Diameter).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Public Cloud Native Services such as AWS or GCP.
• Programming skills in Python, Ansible, or API development.
• Proficiency in Linux Shell scripting.
• Experience with Radio, Transport, Signaling, or Infrastructure products.
