Senior Design Release Engineer, Low Voltage

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for LV component and wire harness suppliers
• Oversee and review 2D wiring diagrams, schematics, and 3D harness routing
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of electrical parts including ECOs and ECRs
• Manage complex electrical Bill of Materials (BOM) in PLM systems
• Develop and maintain project schedules for component delivery and mitigate lead-time risks
• Lead internal cross-functional design reviews with Vehicle Integration, Firmware, and Manufacturing teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering design or release engineering focused on automotive low voltage systems
• Proficiency in electrical design tools such as Mentor Graphics Capital, Zuken, VeSys, or CATIA Electrical
• Experience with PLM/BOM management systems like Teamcenter or Enovia
• Understanding of 12V/24V vehicle architectures and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet)
• Familiarity with automotive connector families (TE, Aptiv, Molex)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience at an early-stage electric vehicle startup
• Hands-on experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, Vector CANalyzer, or PCAN
• Experience bringing wire harnesses or ECUs from prototype to high-volume production
