Senior Design Manager - Risk

Responsibilities

• Review design documentation to identify risks at early stages of the project lifecycle
• Provide practical, experience-led recommendations to improve project outcomes
• Support internal teams in developing robust risk mitigation strategies across tenders, ECI, and live projects
• Partner with Design Managers, Project Managers, and specialist consultants to strengthen design approaches
• Act as a strategic advisor to provide independent, expert insight and challenge existing thinking
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of company-wide design management processes

Requirements

• Significant experience in design management within commercial construction
• Background in architecture, engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Deep understanding of NCC, building codes, and relevant legislative requirements
• Strong technical grounding across multiple building typologies
• Proven ability to influence and challenge stakeholders constructively in complex situations
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with a collaborative and diplomatic approach
