Senior Design Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary design teams across Buildings, Landscape, Planning, and Infrastructure packages
• Manage the full design lifecycle from Pre-Concept through Detailed Design, Tender Documentation, and IFC Delivery
• Oversee coordination between Architecture, Landscape, Planning, Structures, Civil, MEP, ICT, and other specialist disciplines
• Establish project-wide design management procedures, governance systems, and QA/QC processes
• Manage design consultants, subconsultants, and technical stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of coordinated packages
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC), local authority regulations, and client design guidelines
• Manage technical interfaces between buildings, public realm, landscape, utilities, and mobility systems
• Lead value engineering, design optimization, and project risk management
• Implement BIM and Digital Engineering standards across all project stages
• Interface directly with clients, authorities, contractors, and executive stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
• 15+ years of professional experience in multidisciplinary design management
• 10+ years in a senior leadership or design management role
• Proven experience delivering large-scale developments, mixed-use projects, or giga-projects
• Strong knowledge of GCC regulations, Saudi codes, and authority approval processes
• Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary consultants and large technical teams
• Proficiency in BIM workflows, digital coordination, and Common Data Environment (CDE) processes
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional registration or chartership
• PMP, LEED AP, Estidama, Mostadam, or equivalent certifications
• Experience on major GCC development programs
• Experience working within PMC, MDDC, or Lead Design Consultant environments
• Expertise in landscape-led urban developments and smart city integration
