Senior Design Evaluation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform IC characterization at bench level, including initial operating reviews, troubleshooting, early bug reporting, and data correlation.
• Develop hardware and software solutions to fully characterize newly designed silicon and validate performance.
• Create characterization solutions using various interfaces such as SPI, I2C, USB, UART, and GPIB.
• Plan and execute bench tests, including pre- and post-silicon activities, and provide technical expertise ahead of tape-out.
• Collaborate with cross-functional, multi-site teams including design, applications, and business units.
• Mentor other team members and demonstrate best practices for design evaluation.

Requirements

• MSEE or BSEE degree.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with post-silicon validation.
• Proficiency with lab equipment including DMM, oscilloscope, function generator, logic analyzer, and spectrum analyzer.
• Experience with lab equipment automation using Python, LabVIEW, or C++.
• Experience with design and PCB layout tools such as SPICE, PADs logic, ORCAD, or Allegro.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with LDOs and switching power supplies.
• Experience with National Instruments PXI.
• Familiarity with FPGA development.
