About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support to production by training cross-functional teams on requirements and product functionality
- Analyze and disposition discrepant material based on technical assessment and product function
- Support engineering projects to reduce non-conformances through clear problem definition and process control
- Drive engineering changes to improve the producibility of legacy products with strong technical substantiation
- Design and execute test plans to evaluate risk and validate proposed changes
- Implement corrective actions and monitor effectiveness using objective data
- Develop and maintain site procedures to support long-term process stability
- Communicate project progress and results to senior leadership and customers
- Liaise with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to ensure seamless production transitions
- Mentor early-career engineers to support their professional growth
Requirements
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years of experience
- U.S. citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
- Proven experience in manufacturing within the automotive or aerospace industries
- Hands-on experience with dynamics, vibrations, and rotating equipment
- Expertise in problem-solving methodologies including RCCA, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Lean Manufacturing
- Proficiency with CAD systems and 3D modeling tools
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of guiding cross-functional teams
