About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support to production by training cross-functional teams on requirements and product functionality
  • Analyze and disposition discrepant material based on technical assessment and product function
  • Support engineering projects to reduce non-conformances through clear problem definition and process control
  • Drive engineering changes to improve the producibility of legacy products with strong technical substantiation
  • Design and execute test plans to evaluate risk and validate proposed changes
  • Implement corrective actions and monitor effectiveness using objective data
  • Develop and maintain site procedures to support long-term process stability
  • Communicate project progress and results to senior leadership and customers
  • Liaise with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to ensure seamless production transitions
  • Mentor early-career engineers to support their professional growth

Requirements

  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
  • Proven experience in manufacturing within the automotive or aerospace industries
  • Hands-on experience with dynamics, vibrations, and rotating equipment
  • Expertise in problem-solving methodologies including RCCA, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Lean Manufacturing
  • Proficiency with CAD systems and 3D modeling tools
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of guiding cross-functional teams
