Senior Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop array waveforms with detailed timing and biasing conditions for conventional NAND Flash and Compute-in-Memory (CIM) modes
• Plan wordline and bitline path architecture based on area, performance, and power specifications
• Perform die size cost and benefit analysis for new array circuits and algorithms
• Generate schematics and run block-level, subsystem, and full-chip simulations using spice simulators
• Build and maintain Python-based AI utilities to accelerate design tasks and automate documentation
• Collaborate with Firmware, Analog, and Design Validation teams to implement waveforms and integrate circuit blocks
• Support pathfinding for emerging CIM use cases such as vector operations and AI/ML acceleration

Requirements

• MS in Electrical Engineering required (Ph.D. preferred)
• 4+ years of relevant NAND design experience, including contributions to CIM projects
• Strong fundamentals in semiconductor/device physics and analog/mixed-signal circuit design
• Understanding of semiconductor reliability issues (CHC, NBTI, EM, and IR analysis)
• Proficiency in Python coding and experience with structured data (CSV, JSON, SQLite)
• Experience in circuit verification, optimization, and layout planning

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of analog and digital simulators such as HSPICE, Fast SPICE, and Verilog
• Familiarity with Cadence design tools and LVS/DRC tools
• Experience with Bash or Tcl scripting
• Familiarity with Linux/UNIX environments
