Senior Deployment Engineer

Responsibilities

• Configure and deploy edge and cloud-based traffic safety solutions across customer sites
• Use internal tools to onboard new sites and configure intersection layouts, sensors, and V2X integrations
• Support deployment planning, identify technical risks, and ensure site readiness prior to go-live
• Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex deployment and configuration issues
• Troubleshoot issues across Linux servers, networking, sensors, cameras, and cloud connectivity
• Monitor live systems, investigate alerts, and drive root cause analysis for operational issues
• Develop scripts and automation to improve deployment quality, consistency, and speed
• Create and maintain deployment guides, runbooks, and troubleshooting documentation

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in deployment, configuration, or systems engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux server administration and performance diagnostics
• Solid networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, VLANs, and firewalls
• Proficiency in Python and Bash/Shell scripting for task automation
• Experience with Git and GitHub workflows
• Understanding of cloud and infrastructure concepts, specifically AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with edge computing, IoT systems, or hardware-integrated software solutions
• Strong ability to troubleshoot across software, infrastructure, and connected devices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) or traffic controllers
• Knowledge of SPaT/MAP, V2X, or smart city deployments
• Background in traffic management systems
