Senior DataStage ETL Developer

Responsibilities

• Design and execute ETL jobs for high-volume data migration from legacy systems to modern cloud platforms and data warehouses
• Develop data transformation logic aligned with specific data models and industry standards
• Perform data extraction from RDBMS, flat files, legacy core banking systems, and third-party systems
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Architects, and Migration teams to provide data mapping solutions
• Prepare migration strategy documents, mapping sheets, and technical runbooks
• Conduct pre-migration and post-migration data validations and reconciliation reports
• Identify and resolve data mismatches, defects, and technical risks
• Provide L3 production support and work with L1/L2 teams to resolve emergency incidents
• Maintain development quality through code reviews, technical specifications, and adherence to security standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and maintaining IBM InfoSphere DataStage (v11.5 or later)
• 3+ years of experience leading or contributing to large-scale data migration projects (10 TB+ of source data)
• Advanced SQL skills (joins, window functions, hierarchical queries) across Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or DB2
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing PL/SQL or T-SQL scripts for complex transformations and bulk loading
• Deep understanding of data migration patterns including Full Load, CDC (log/trigger based), delta capture, and rollback procedures
• Experience with parallel, serverless, and containerized job design

Preferred Qualifications

• IBM Certification in DataStage or related technologies
• English proficiency at a B2 Upper Intermediate level or higher
