Senior Database Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test enhancements for MS SQL, Azure SQL DB, and Azure MI database systems
• Provide technical analyses and recommendations for new and existing solutions
• Translate metadata and requirements into optimal database designs
• Develop DDL/DML scripts and enhance database performance, including queries, stored procedures, and views
• Utilize Source Code Management tools like Git or TFVC (Bitbucket and Azure DevOps) for tracking database scripts
• Implement data encryption solutions using Always Encrypted and/or Tokenization
• Contribute to Agile environments using Scrum/Kanban methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence

Requirements

• Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or a technical equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience as a Database Analyst or Application DBA
• Proven experience supporting MS SQL, Azure SQL DB, or Azure MI
• Knowledge of Git or TFVC for source code management
• Experience working within Agile methodologies
• Strong technical presentation and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing ETL solutions with SSIS or Azure Data Factory
• Experience working effectively with remote teams
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
