Senior Database Administrator

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade database environments across OCI, AWS, and hybrid platforms
• Lead architecture and administration for Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer, Oracle RAC, and Oracle GoldenGate
• Drive cloud modernization by migrating databases from on-premises environments to managed cloud services
• Engineer and administer AWS database technologies including Amazon RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and Redshift
• Establish and maintain RTO/RPO, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies
• Lead database security initiatives including encryption, auditing, access controls, and compliance
• Perform advanced performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting for complex incidents
• Mentor junior and mid-level database administrators and promote automation through DevOps practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of enterprise database administration and engineering experience supporting Oracle databases
• 4+ years of experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Redshift, or Elasticsearch
• Proven experience with cloud database migrations and AWS database technologies
• Experience with database deployment automation, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working within Change Management and ITIL-based operational environments

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise database administration and engineering experience
• Experience with Qlik Replicate, Qlik analytics platforms, and Talend integrations
• Relevant Oracle, AWS, or database-related certifications
• Experience in highly regulated environments such as higher education, healthcare, or financial services
