About the role
Responsibilities
- Support legacy mainframe databases and new database installations
- Serve as primary database support for DB2 on Z Series Mainframe in production
- Perform table reorgs, indexing, partitioning, and performance tuning
- Automate and schedule tasks using Zeke, JCL, Easytrieve, and REXX
- Handle database administration, security, backup/recovery, and capacity planning
Requirements
- Experience with DB2 on Z Series Mainframe
- Strong database administration and data analysis skills
- Knowledge of JCL, Easytrieve, and REXX
- Experience with performance tuning and database reorganizations
- Familiarity with HA, security, refreshes, exports/imports, and recovery
