Senior Database Administrator

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and administer robust Oracle RAC clusters alongside MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases to guarantee high uptime.
• Implement automated, cloud-native database solutions utilizing DevOps, SRE, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Perform rapid fault management and proactive trend analysis to minimize outage times and meet service level objectives.
• Lead complex database migration and infrastructure projects while mentoring junior team members.
• Leverage generative AI tools to automate SQL tuning, optimize schema performance, and streamline administration scripting.
• Adhere to change management policies and maintain comprehensive documentation for all data center systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4 years of experience in database administration and systems engineering.
• 4 years of experience with Oracle (including RAC and OEM), MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.
• 2 years of experience with NoSQL databases (Couch, Mongo, Cassandra), Microsoft SQL, Linux administration, and configuration management tools (SALT, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible).

Preferred Qualifications

• Database administration certifications.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Kubernetes.
