Responsibilities

• Manage and support multiple Microsoft SQL Server instances (on-premise & virtualized environments)
• Monitor database performance, perform performance tuning and capacity planning
• Design and implement backup, restore and disaster recovery strategies
• Ensure high availability (HA/DR) and business continuity
• Manage database security, permissions and compliance policies
• Develop and maintain SQL jobs, stored procedures and automation scripts
• Support and optimize ETL processes
• Enable data integration and exchange with SAP S/4HANA systems
• Support Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence environments
• Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA in an enterprise environment
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL
• Proven experience in performance tuning and query optimization
• Hands-on experience with backup/restore, replication, Always On and clustering
• Experience with ETL tools (e.g. SSIS)
• Solid understanding of Data Warehouse and BI principles
• Experience in ERP integrations
• Very good command of the English language

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in SAP S/4HANA integrations
• Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, SSAS, SSRS)
• Experience in virtualization and/or cloud environments
• Microsoft certifications
• Knowledge of other RDBMS platforms
