About the role
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Cassandra, YugabyteDB, and Neo4j clusters in production and non-production environments
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and replication across distributed nodes
- Monitor cluster health, throughput, latency, and resource utilization
- Perform capacity planning, sharding strategies, and cluster scaling
- Implement and manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies
- Troubleshoot node failures, data inconsistencies, and replication delays
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations to support production clusters
Requirements
- 6-8 years of experience in database administration
- Hands-on experience managing distributed or NoSQL databases
- Strong expertise in Cassandra and/or YugabyteDB cluster administration
- Experience with Neo4j graph database operations
- Solid understanding of distributed system concepts like replication, consistency, and partitioning
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, B.Tech, M.Tech, or equivalent
- Experience working in high-availability, 24x7 production environments
