Senior Data Strategy & Operations Lead

Responsibilities

• Own the operational rhythm of the Data & Applied AI org, including team syncs, roadmap reviews, and OKR cycles
• Lead annual and quarterly planning processes to link data and AI initiatives to company goals
• Manage the VP's leadership calendar, meeting agendas, and preparation of materials for executive reviews
• Serve as the connective tissue between Data & Applied AI and Product, Engineering, and Commercial functions
• Track progress on key data and AI initiatives from scoping through delivery, identifying and resolving risks
• Design and implement scalable processes such as intake workflows and documentation standards
• Lead high-impact strategic projects like evolving operating models or assessing AI adoption frameworks

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or planning in a high-growth tech environment
• Hands-on experience working closely with data, analytics, or AI/ML teams
• Technical familiarity with data pipelines, ML models, and experimentation frameworks
• Proven track record running operating cadences like OKRs and roadmap reviews
• Strong program and project leadership skills in complex, ambiguous environments
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence executive leadership
• Highly data-driven with proficiency in building models, spreadsheets, and dashboards
• Proficient user of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to accelerate work

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a data analyst, data scientist, or in a technical role
• Familiarity with AI/ML product development lifecycles
• Experience with marketplace or edtech businesses
• SQL fluency and comfort working directly with data tools
• Experience in a Chief of Staff-type role supporting VP or C-level leaders
