Senior Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end machine learning and statistical models
• Audit, monitor, and continuously improve existing production models
• Act as a primary mentor to data analysts and engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing
• Architect efficient data extraction workflows and construct complex, scalable queries
• Collaborate with data engineers and product owners to establish clean data pipelines

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in data science or predictive modeling
• Proven track record of bringing machine learning models into production
• Expert Python proficiency including pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn
• Advanced SQL skills for optimizing complex queries against large databases
• Strong command of statistical modeling, regression, classification, and A/B testing
• Demonstrated desire to mentor and upskill junior team members

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with R for exploratory data analysis
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Snowflake) and MLOps tools (MLflow, Airflow, Git)
• Prior experience working with education, non-profit, or public sector datasets
