Senior Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of machine learning models, from feature engineering and selection to deployment and monitoring.
• Drive the development of scalable agentic architectures and implement Large Language Models (LLMs) for diverse banking applications.
• Determine the most effective AI/ML approaches for business problems, balancing traditional models with generative AI solutions.
• Oversee the implementation of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and conversational AI solutions.
• Ensure all AI solutions comply with banking regulations and ethical standards, focusing on explainability, fairness, and responsible use.
• Communicate complex technical findings and strategic recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a data science leadership role with a track record of delivering complex projects.
• Extensive expertise in Python and core libraries such as Scikit-learn, Pandas, and NumPy.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and RAG architectures.
• Experience with Agentic AI frameworks and designing multi-step reasoning processes.
• Knowledge of MLOps principles, including Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working within cloud environments such as GCP or Microsoft Azure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Microsoft Foundry or Google's Vertex AI.
• Experience with ETL solutions and data mining/profiling.
• Strong understanding of data privacy and security standards for sensitive customer data.
