Senior Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver data analytics solutions using machine learning and advanced analytical techniques
• Provide high quality insights and in-depth analyses aligned to strategic initiatives
• Tell impactful stories with data through actionable reports and presentations
• Develop a deep understanding of gameplay flows to inform game data analysis
• Identify and lead analytic value-add projects and experiments
• Conduct proactive in-depth analysis and predictive modeling
• Partner with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to implement resolutions
• Mentor and develop the skillsets of junior team members

Requirements

• 5+ years in a data science role
• Experience writing production-stable code, preferably PySpark
• Proficiency in statistical theories including probability, distributions, Bayesian statistics, and causal inference
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques such as Clustering, Gradient Boosting, Neural Networks, and Regression
• Excellent SQL skills and experience using Python for machine learning and statistical analysis
• Experience using large, complex datasets and building dashboards, ideally with Tableau
• Excellent data storytelling and visualization skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Passion for video games and knowledge of the industry

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Databricks and MLFlow
• Graduate degree (MBA, MSc, or PhD)
• Game industry experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
