About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy ML models to optimize auction pricing, bid shading, floor price setting, and yield
- Build real-time pricing algorithms and inventory allocation logic for routing and matching
- Design and own data infrastructure including event pipelines, feature stores, and real-time feature serving
- Deploy models to production real-time inference environments and manage latency and reliability
- Execute A/B and holdout experiments to measure causal impact on yield and revenue
- Research and implement adaptive components like contextual bandits and reinforcement learning
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into modeling approaches
Requirements
- 5+ years in data science, ML engineering, or quantitative research
- 2+ years building/deploying ML models in programmatic advertising, ad tech, or marketplace optimization
- Deep understanding of programmatic auction mechanics (RTB, header bidding, floor pricing)
- Proven ability to take models from prototype to production independently
- Strong Python and SQL skills
- Proficiency with ML libraries (scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, PyTorch/TensorFlow)
- Experience with large-scale data tools (Spark, Kafka)
- Experience with real-time feature serving and low-latency model deployment
- Strong grasp of causal inference and experiment design
- Bachelor's in a quantitative field (CS, Statistics, Math, Engineering, Economics)
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with SSP, DSP, or exchange-side yield optimization
- Familiarity with auction theory and optimal reserve pricing
- Experience with contextual bandits, multi-armed bandits, or reinforcement learning
- Knowledge of online learning and adaptive algorithms
- Familiarity with privacy-preserving ML (differential privacy, federated learning)
- Experience with GCP tools (BigQuery, Vertex AI, Dataflow, Pub/Sub) or Databricks
