Senior Data Scientist, Product & Growth

Responsibilities

• Own the metrics that define the growth funnel including signup, activation, conversion, and retention
• Design and run experiments such as A/B tests and interpret results honestly
• Build growth models for activation prediction, churn, retention, conversion propensity, and LTV
• Transform product and billing events into clean, trusted analysis using PostHog and data warehouses
• Identify high-leverage opportunities within the funnel to drive outsized results
• Create clear metrics, dashboards, and writeups to facilitate team decisions
• Partner daily with growth, product, and founders to drive strategic bets

Requirements

• Several years of experience in product or growth data science, ideally at a consumer or product-led company
• Hands-on proficiency in SQL and Python
• Deep understanding of experimentation statistics and judgment
• Ability to think in funnels and systems to connect metrics to decisions
• Experience building data models or pipelines using tools like dbt and data warehouses
• Strong communication skills to deliver findings in plain language
• Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience standing up an experimentation program or analytics stack from scratch
• Proficiency with PostHog or dbt
• Proven track record of analysis that directly influenced company strategy
• Interest in AI and creative tools, ideally as a ComfyUI user
