Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and maintain ML models for automated product categorization and taxonomy assignment
- Conduct deep-dive analyses into catalog completeness, consistency, and correctness
- Build and improve matching algorithms to link sales transactions to catalog products
- Identify product variants and duplicates using clustering, entity resolution, and embeddings
- Research and prototype improvements to product search and retrieval pipelines using vector search and semantic similarity
- Build and maintain product graph infrastructure to capture relationships between products, brands, and retailers
- Take models from POC to production, owning deployment, testing, and monitoring
- Build robust, scalable data pipelines and ML workflows using production-grade tools
Requirements
- 5+ years in data science, ML engineering, or analytics engineering
- 2+ years focused on product data, catalog quality, entity resolution, or e-commerce analytics
- Proven ability to build production-grade data pipelines and deploy ML models independently
- Strong Python and SQL proficiency
- Experience with ML libraries such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch, or TensorFlow
- Experience with entity resolution, fuzzy matching, clustering, and embeddings
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (CS, Statistics, Math, Engineering)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with vector search and vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate)
- Familiarity with search and retrieval systems like Elasticsearch or Solr
- Experience with graph databases and graph analytics (Neo4j)
- Knowledge of NLP techniques for product data
- Experience with multimodal modeling
- Familiarity with GCP tools (BigQuery, Vertex AI) or Databricks/Spark
- Experience with recommendation systems
