Senior Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end data science initiatives from ideation through execution to impact customer financial lives
• Identify opportunities to improve Perpay’s business model using exploratory data analysis and machine learning
• Deploy and maintain real-time model inference resources, infrastructure, and machine learning pipelines
• Contribute to the cross-discipline adoption and responsible use of AI/LLM models and services
• Present complex analytical results to a wide range of audiences, including leadership and non-technical peers
• Define standards and best practices for workflows and new technologies within the Data Science team
• Act as an informal mentor to peers

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience applying machine learning techniques in an industry setting
• 5+ years of experience in data analysis, exploratory data analysis, and data visualization
• 5+ years of experience developing, deploying, and maintaining real-time software (e.g., models exposed as APIs)
• 5+ years of experience with cloud compute infrastructure and best practices (e.g., Terraform or CloudFormation)
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative or technical field (Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, etc.)
• Advanced proficiency in Python and the standard data science stack (scikit-learn, pandas, numpy, matplotlib, etc.)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage projects end-to-end

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in advanced machine learning methodologies such as deep learning or probabilistic programming
• Familiarity with advanced frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or PyMC
• Experience with scalable compute frameworks such as Spark or Polars
• Experience with deployment frameworks such as Kubernetes
