Senior Data Scientist

Peak Power is a North American cleantech company providing end-to-end battery energy storage solutions for large commercial, industrial, and manufacturing facilities. We help large energy users reduce electricity costs and achieve sustainability goals through strategic investor partnerships and zero-capex energy storage.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain secure, reliable, and scalable data pipelines for real-time energy grid data.
• Own the full lifecycle of time-series forecasting models, including training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Deploy machine learning models into production using MLOps patterns and Airflow orchestration.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data science, ML engineering, or data engineering.
• Strong Python skills and experience taking models from development into production.
• Experience with containerization (Docker), cloud functions (AWS Lambda), and MLOps platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with relational and time-series databases like Postgres or TimescaleDB.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
• Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Flink.
