Senior Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to develop and implement strategies for fraud detection and AML
• Interact heavily with SME and Enterprise clients to understand pain points and gaps
• Build project plans with clear deliverables and execute customized project-based solutions
• Conduct research, experimentation, and optimization to enhance technical solutions for detecting fraudulent activities
• Plan, train, and deploy machine learning models
• Help shape the product roadmap for fraud and AML solutions
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to financial crime prevention

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience leading advanced data science projects
• 3+ years of experience in client-facing engagements specifically in fraud prevention or AML
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for handling and analyzing large datasets
• Expert knowledge in building and maintaining advanced ML and statistical models
• Experience with data pipelines, data modeling, and feature engineering
• Fluency in both English and Arabic
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to present findings to stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with graph analytics and using graph networks
• Experience building fraud detection models or consulting on AML systems
