Senior Data Scientist I

Responsibilities

• Independently design analysis plans and develop data pipelines, models, and algorithms to solve complex business problems.
• Create meaningful visualizations to support data analysis and stakeholder communications.
• Implement quality and efficiency improvements to existing methodologies, leveraging AI where possible.
• Develop and share efficient code used for analyses and incorporate quality checks to detect errors.
• Provide clear, data-driven recommendations that translate research findings into business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Product, Operations, Engineering, and Technology.
• Lead smaller projects and provide informal guidance to colleagues.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience with a proven track record of independent work.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in programming with Python, PySpark, and SQL for data pipeline development.
• Experience manipulating, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sources to tell a story.
• Experience trending and visualizing data within Tableau or similar BI tools.
• Hands-on experience working in cloud-based environments such as AWS.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
