Senior Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Lead a small group of data science developers in model development, redevelopment, and deployment
• Collaborate with MLOps to ensure smooth transition from development to industrialization
• Plan code development and provide direct support to developers during execution
• Lead model tuning, testing, and evaluation planning
• Enforce proper coding standards, documentation, and version control through regular code reviews
• Establish model evaluation and validation frameworks for production deployment
• Create monitoring plans for production and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for identified issues
• Ensure a modular, highly configurable, and reusable code base for efficient roll-out across markets

Requirements

• 6+ years of deep data science experience
• Strong knowledge of machine learning and statistical modeling in cloud-based environments (GCP, Azure, AWS, or Databricks)
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Spark
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
• Experience with GCP services including BigQuery, Cloud ML Engine, and Cloud Storage
• Experience configuring version control for code, data, and models using GitHub
• B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or a related technical degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of the Fractal Data Science Professional Certificate
• Understanding of the Ecommerce domain
• Strong solution design and critical thinking skills
