Senior Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, software engineers, and oncologists, to develop new real-world data products.
• Establish relationships with partner sites to understand data formats and enable seamless data transfers.
• Conduct exploratory analyses to define data ingestion approaches and business logic for transforming source data into common data models.
• Apply and validate LLM-based approaches to process unstructured electronic health record data at scale.
• Collaborate with software engineers to design, implement, and automate scalable data pipelines using AI tools.

Requirements

• BS or MS in a technical field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Applied Statistics, or Engineering).
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Proven experience working with Machine Learning (ML) and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Proficiency in Python (including pandas or polars) and SQL.
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and the ability to interpret complex analyses.
• Experience working in a production development environment using formal version control.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into compelling stories.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working within the healthcare industry.
• Experience with DBT or Snowflake.
