Senior Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced analytics initiatives to support insurance portfolio management and commercial performance
• Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to generate insights that improve decision-making
• Develop predictive models using techniques such as GLMs, gradient boosting, and tree-based models
• Extract, prepare, and analyze data using Python and other data management tools
• Partner with business teams to scope analytical work, prioritize initiatives, and shape the analytics roadmap
• Collaborate with the Global Analytics team on model build, refinement, and quality standards
• Drive end-to-end delivery from problem framing and exploration through to deployment and adoption
• Present analytical findings and model performance to business stakeholders and actuarial teams in clear language

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.)
• 5+ years of hands-on data science and advanced analytics experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, or TensorFlow
• Deep understanding of machine learning and statistical concepts (supervised/unsupervised learning, NLP, etc.)
• Practical experience with modern data platforms like Databricks or Snowflake
• Experience building and maintaining data and ML pipelines with familiarity in MLOps practices
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and senior business stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in AI or model-driven analytics
• An actuarial background
