Senior Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data-driven solutions, integrating engineering aspects and evaluating financial impacts
• Implement feature selection and extraction methods to improve ML models and derive interpretable insights
• Build and optimize supervised and unsupervised machine learning models
• Assess and enhance the quality of incoming data and model outputs using appropriate evaluation metrics
• Collaborate with domain experts to define and meet business requirements
• Create reports and explanatory materials to communicate insights effectively
• Evaluate opportunities from emerging mathematical approaches and data science technologies
• Apply strong testing and quality assurance practices

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• 7+ years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning
• Excellent proficiency in Python programming
• Strong knowledge of Computer Vision and video analytics
• Experience with the Python data science stack (pandas, scikit-learn, keras, numpy, or tensorflow)
• Strong understanding of modern statistics, including time-series, signal processing, or image processing
• Experience with database management tools such as SQL and ElasticSearch
• Proficiency in a LINUX environment including shell scripting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in PHM, predictive maintenance, or traffic modelling
• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) or sequence mining
• Familiarity with Git and release management
