Senior Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of high-impact AI initiatives, moving from experimental modeling to production-grade systems.
• Design and fine-tune Large Language Models (LLMs) to interpret complex regulatory texts and extract structured rules for automated compliance.
• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to query technical documentation with high accuracy.
• Develop time-series forecasting models to predict spend categories and material demand for supply chain optimization.
• Build machine learning classifiers to categorize supplier risks and operational anomalies.
• Design robust data extraction pipelines to transform raw data from Data Lakehouses, SAP, and external sources into model features.
• Collaborate with Backend Engineers to integrate AI models into cohesive engines via RESTful APIs.
• Validate model outputs against historical data to ensure "defense-grade" reliability and minimize false positives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning with a track record of deploying models into production.
• Expert proficiency in Python and standard ML libraries including TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, and NumPy.
• Deep experience with transformer-based models (GPT, BERT, Llama) and prompt engineering techniques.
• Proficiency in handling complex data structures (JSON, XML) and querying databases using SQL or NoSQL.
• Experience exposing models via RESTful APIs using frameworks like Flask or FastAPI.
• Strong statistical understanding, including probability distributions, A/B testing, and bias mitigation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within structured delivery models such as Agile or Sprint-based workflows.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex domain terminology in defense, construction, or supply chain sectors.
• Experience with graph data structures or specialized data extraction from technical formats.
