Senior Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Build and develop the local credit risk model for the Spanish market from initial development through to ongoing iteration
• Evaluate, select, and integrate local data providers including bureaus, Open Banking, and alternative data
• Own reporting for the Spanish business by designing dashboards, metrics, and analytics infrastructure
• Collaborate with the London-based data science team to adapt existing models to the Spanish market
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate data insights into product strategy and growth
• Stay updated on industry trends in AI, machine learning, and fintech

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in a data science role
• Strong SQL and Python skills
• Experience working directly with large datasets
• Strong background in statistical modelling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish
• Ability to translate complex data insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in credit risk or finance
• Experience with AWS
