Senior Data Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate core infrastructure and services powering the data platform, including lakehouse, warehouse, and streaming systems.
• Improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency of data systems using Iceberg, Snowflake, and AWS.
• Build internal tooling, APIs, and automation to enhance developer experience for data engineers and scientists.
• Lead platform engineering best practices across CI/CD, infrastructure as code, testing, and deployments.
• Strengthen observability through monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
• Partner cross-functionally with Data Science, Analytics, and ML Platform teams to support scalable workflows.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development and improve code quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or software engineering with ownership of production data systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and modern cloud data infrastructure.
• Experience with AWS services such as S3, EKS, EMR, and EC2.
• Experience with orchestration frameworks like Airflow or Prefect.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and DevOps practices.
• Ability to independently drive technical projects and own systems end-to-end.
