Senior Data Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Engage in technical decision-making, custom development, and performance optimization for foundational data infrastructure and service layer components.
• Develop and automate large-scale, high-performance distributed data processing systems for both batch and streaming workloads.
• Advocate for high-quality software engineering practices to establish scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Contribute to defining shared data engineering tool standards to enhance company-wide productivity.
• Lead medium to large-scale projects and provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience as a data engineer.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, CE, CIS, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, Scala, Python, or SQL.
• Proven ability to design, build, and operate distributed systems and overarching data architectures.
• Strong working knowledge of real-time and batch processing systems.
• Experience working with data at petabyte (PB) scale.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Kafka, Data Lake, Spark, Flink, DBT, Spring Boot, Hadoop, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
