Senior Data Engineering Analyst

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant data pipelines and platforms in a cloud-native environment
• Own end-to-end development of data ingestion, processing, and transformation systems
• Develop and maintain production-grade backend services and APIs to enable secure data access
• Design and operate workflow orchestration frameworks to manage complex data workloads
• Implement robust error handling, monitoring, and alerting for all production pipelines
• Deploy and operate data systems using cloud infrastructure, containers, and automated CI/CD pipelines
• Participate in system design reviews and contribute to architecture decisions
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering excellence

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining production data pipelines
• Experience working with large datasets in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipeline design
• Experience with relational databases and data warehouses
• Knowledge of workflow orchestration tools like Airflow
• Familiarity with DevOps tools including Docker, Git, and CI/CD fundamentals
• Solid understanding of data modeling and performance optimization

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as Spark
• Experience working in enterprise or data-intensive environments
• Exposure to backend frameworks or API development
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automated deployments
