About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate high-scale batch and streaming data pipelines to ingest, transform, and enrich large-scale event data.
- Create and maintain curated data aggregates, dimensional models, and data marts for prediction models, BI dashboards, and measurement workflows.
- Define schemas, data contracts, and versioning strategies to ensure downstream system stability.
- Implement data quality and reliability measures, including validation, anomaly detection, and reconciliation to meet SLAs/SLOs.
- Optimize compute and storage performance for scale, balancing latency, throughput, and cost.
- Build repeatable workflows using orchestration tools and implement CI/CD for data workloads.
- Instrument pipelines with metrics, logs, and lineage to ensure observability and rapid root-cause analysis.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building production-grade data pipelines and data products in high-scale environments.
- Strong expertise in SQL and data modeling (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, event modeling).
- Hands-on experience with streaming systems such as Kafka or AWS Kinesis.
- Proficiency in at least one data engineering language: Python, Java, Scala, or Go.
- Experience with distributed data processing frameworks like Spark or Flink.
- Experience working with AWS data services (e.g., S3, Glue, EMR, Athena, Redshift).
- Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or Step Functions.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores (e.g., Postgres, MySQL, DynamoDB, Cassandra, or Redis).
Preferred Qualifications
- Domain knowledge in AdTech or programmatic advertising (DSP/SSP/RTB).
- Experience building measurement pipelines for attribution, incrementality, or experimentation.
- Experience supporting ML feature stores and offline/online feature generation.
- Experience with real-time analytics stores like Druid, ClickHouse, or Pinot.
- Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and PII-aware data processing.
