Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect data pipelines and analytics platforms on AWS using EMR, Glue, Redshift, and Athena
• Implement streaming and real-time workflows utilizing Kinesis, Kafka, and Lambda
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT frameworks using Glue and AWS Step Functions
• Manage data lakes with S3 and Lake Formation while ensuring cost-efficient scaling
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to deliver training data and inference-ready datasets
• Implement monitoring, security, and governance aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in data engineering
• 3+ years of specific experience with AWS-native data platforms
• Strong expertise in AWS data services including S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, EMR, and Kinesis
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, Java/Scala, and SQL
• Knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure-as-code

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with AI pipelines, vector databases, and agentic workloads
• AWS Data Analytics Specialty or Solutions Architect certification
