Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Develop and optimize both batch and real-time data processing solutions
• Build and manage data lakes and data warehouses to support advanced analytics
• Improve data quality, reliability, and efficiency across all datasets
• Create comprehensive solution designs and technical documentation
• Implement DevOps and CI/CD practices for data pipelines
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Architects, and stakeholders on migration and modernization initiatives
• Assist in pre-sales activities by providing technical inputs and effort estimates

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or a related field
• 5–8 years of professional experience in Data Engineering
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services
• 2+ years of experience building containerized applications
• Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, PySpark) and advanced SQL
• Strong experience with Spark (Batch & Streaming) and ETL/ELT pipeline development
• Expertise in data modeling using Star and Snowflake schemas

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
