Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-capacity and scalable data pipelines
• Design, develop and maintain API based ETL/ELT processes for raw data collection from multiple sources
• Build and maintain data products including data pipelines, KPI datasets, and observability layers
• Build advanced semantic layers, establish data validation, lineage tracking, and performance-monitoring frameworks
• Provide thought leadership to scale architecture for future needs
• Develop and support CI/CD processes using Jenkins, Docker, and Git
• Define and implement monitoring and alerting policies for data solutions

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Python
• 4+ years of experience with Databricks
• 5+ years of experience with advanced SQL queries and optimization
• 2+ years of experience integrating with 3rd party APIs
• 2+ years of experience working in AWS environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering, or similar
• Experience testing and monitoring data for anomalies
• Knowledge of software coding practices, agile methodologies, and code reviews

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in front-end technologies (JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, React, Node, Angular, Vue.js, or jQuery)
• Experience designing ontologies, advanced semantic layers, taxonomies, or knowledge graphs
