Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Cloud Data Lake design and development, including data ingestion, modeling, and distribution
• Build data integrations and hand-offs between on-premise and cloud-based systems
• Design and develop high-volume data ingestion components to collect data from various sources
• Implement cloud infrastructure to support current and future business needs
• Participate in technical design, application build, configuration, unit testing, and production deployment
• Ensure cloud solutions meet high standards for cost efficiency, performance, security, scalability, and reliability

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in professional software design and development
• Strong technical expertise in PL/SQL, Java/J2EE, Python, Scala, and PERL/scripting
• Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms, preferably Databricks
• Proven experience in Data Modeling, database design, and performance tuning
• Experience building ELT pipelines across multiple data sources
• Strong knowledge of Cloud Security in AWS/Azure (IAM Roles, Policies, Security Groups, and Encryption)
• Proficiency with CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent experience
