Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test modern analytic solutions
• Manage the data engineering lifecycle including research, architecture, design, development, and maintenance
• Build proof of concepts for modern analytics stacks supporting cloud-based business systems
• Manage day-to-day client relationships and communicate business needs
• Collaborate with architects on solution designs and recommendations
• Mentor and develop junior resources
• Participate in code reviews and implement best practices for SQL and DBT development

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in business intelligence and analytic solutions
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool)
• Extensive experience with DBT features including Jinja, Macros, Snapshots, and incremental models
• Advanced SQL proficiency and knowledge of dimensional modeling
• Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Databricks
• Proficiency in version control (GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps) and CI/CD
• 2+ years of experience in consulting and project-based delivery using SDLC
• 2+ years of experience with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.)
• 2+ years of experience in Agile/Kanban/DevOps environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Snowflake SnowPro Core certification
• Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Experience with visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes
