Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and automation of scalable ETL/ELT workflows
• Architect efficient, modern data solutions such as Lakehouse architectures
• Design and optimize data models and schemas for high-performance storage and retrieval
• Leverage big data technologies and cloud-native services for distributed processing and real-time streaming
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and manage containerized solutions
• Implement robust data governance, quality frameworks, and security measures
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level data engineers

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer building and optimizing data pipelines
• Hands-on experience with Big Data tools and processing
• Ability to write clean, scalable, robust code using Python or similar languages
• Strong understanding of data engineering principles and data governance frameworks
• Understanding of machine learning workflows and supporting them with data pipelines
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
• Experience with Apache Spark, Databricks, Kafka, or Flink
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with Apache Airflow and modern Lakehouse patterns
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD, Docker, or Kubernetes
• Background in software engineering
