Senior Data Engineer

Rapsodo is a Sports Technology company with offices in the USA, Singapore, Turkey, Malaysia & Japan. We build data-driven sports analytics products used by athletes worldwide — from Major League Baseball players to golf enthusiasts — and by the coaches who train them.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cloud analytics infrastructure as code and operate a modern data stack
• Operate the company-wide BI platform and optimize warehouse cost and performance
• Develop transformation repositories on a multi-layer star schema
• Build and maintain ingestion for real-time and batch sources including CDC and SaaS connectors
• Design and build AI agents and conversational analytics applications using RAG and LLM integrations
• Partner with stakeholders across Product, Sales, and Finance to support reporting and business processes
• Mentor interns and new hires while contributing to engineering standards

Requirements

• 4+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or platform engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Strong experience with major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Deep proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience with SQL transformation frameworks (dbt, Dataform) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Experience building batch and real-time ingestion pipelines
• Exposure to AI/LLM-powered applications such as RAG and SQL generation
• Strong security mindset and excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field
• Interest in sports technology
