Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable enterprise data architectures and end-to-end ETL solutions using SQL, SSIS, and Azure Data Factory.
• Build and optimize high-performance database objects, including complex stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
• Perform performance tuning, query optimization, indexing strategies, table partitioning, and execution-plan analysis.
• Translate business and design requirements into robust logical data models and effective testing strategies.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering teams.
• Manage ETL data migrations, data synchronization processes, and analytical data layers.
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues in Denodo-based virtualized views.
• Deliver complex business solutions across Retail, Financial Services, and Manufacturing domains.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (any field) or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience with SQL, SSIS, and Azure Data Factory.
• Proficiency within the MS SQL and PL/SQL ecosystems.
• Experience working with SQL Server versions 2008 through 2022.
• Ability to travel up to 60% to unanticipated client locations within the US.
