About the role

Responsibilities

  • Build and optimize high-quality data pipelines, logic, and storage systems using modern design patterns and architectural principles.
  • Develop efficient, well-documented code that adheres to organizational standards.
  • Conduct complex data analysis to prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling.
  • Collaborate with architects, data scientists, and analysts to enhance data acquisition, transformation, and reliability.
  • Write unit, integration, and functional automation tests to ensure data quality and system stability.
  • Research and implement emerging technologies to solve sophisticated business problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, Java, Scala, or PySpark/Apache Spark.
  • Experience with data warehousing technologies like AWS Redshift or Snowflake.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data lakes, and data ingestion/transformation processes.
  • Experience with DevOps automation tools and knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with cloud computing fundamentals, specifically AWS services.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaborative skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with serverless data pipeline development using AWS Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions.
  • Knowledge of architecture patterns and Design Thinking.
  • Previous experience in the financial or insurance industry.
