Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data pipelines from ODS ingestion through CDM to downstream marts serving TMS, KYC, CMS, and regulatory reporting.
• Design, build, and maintain production-grade pipelines with a focus on reliability, auditability, and regulatory correctness.
• Implement proactive Data Quality Control (DQC) checks, monitoring, and reconciliation to catch issues before they impact downstream systems.
• Utilize AI and LLM tooling to accelerate pipeline development, documentation, and domain knowledge acquisition.
• Collaborate with Compliance Project Leads to turn underspecified requirements into scoped engineering tasks.
• Mentor junior engineers as you grow into technical leadership within the compliance domain.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering with strong production pipeline experience (ETL/ELT).
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Strong data modelling skills, specifically regarding auditability, lineage, and immutability for financial data.
• Proven experience with data orchestration tools.
• Demonstrated ability to own a data domain end-to-end, including business logic and incident handling.
• Ability to learn complex domains quickly and work effectively in ambiguous environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in compliance, AML, KYC, transaction monitoring, or financial crime data domains.
• Background in crypto, fintech, or regulated financial services.
• Familiarity with industry platforms such as Scila, Unit21, or World-Check.
• Practical experience applying AI/LLM tooling to data engineering workflows.
