Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own a data domain end-to-end, including schema design, orchestration, and reliability
• Design and evolve pipelines that ingest data from industrial sources like sensors, lab systems, and historians
• Model time-series and analytical plant data for human analysis and machine learning
• Own data quality, observability, and lineage within your domain
• Build data architecture that feeds production ML in partnership with ML engineers
• Mentor earlier-career engineers and define data contracts

Requirements

• 4+ years in data engineering or a closely related role
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Deep experience designing database and warehouse schemas (time-series/analytical)
• Proven experience building orchestrated data pipelines in the cloud using containers and CI/CD
• Experience with data quality, observability, and lineage
• Ability to work in high-ambiguity environments alongside process and ML engineers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience feeding data to ML systems (training datasets, feature pipelines, model monitoring)
• Experience working with industrial, sensor, or historian data
