Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, innovate, and optimize data extraction, ingestion, and transformation processes.
• Develop complex data architectures and pipelines to process and store high-volume datasets.
• Implement data security and privacy measures to protect sensitive information.
• Conduct complex data quality and processing tasks using cloud services and open-source tools.
• Provide technical expertise during critical incidents and oversee quality assurance and testing.
• Mentor less experienced data engineers and drive engineering standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with analytics, product, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant data engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks Workflows, or similar orchestration tools.
• Strong knowledge of Big Data frameworks and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure services including Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, and Azure Functions.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and continuous delivery.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases and real-time processing.
• Experience with metadata management and data governance frameworks.
