Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, production-grade ELT pipelines
• Architect and own the Snowflake environment, including performance tuning and cost governance
• Develop and enforce semantic models for consistent business definitions
• Define and drive data engineering standards for quality and reliability
• Lead cross-functional data initiatives with engineering, finance, and product teams
• Establish data quality infrastructure including validation, monitoring, and alerting
• Contribute to AI data infrastructure supporting RAG pipelines and vector storage
• Mentor junior engineers and partner with executives to drive data adoption

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building and operating production data pipelines
• Expert-level experience with Snowflake
• Proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience with modern ELT tooling such as dbt, Fivetran, or Airflow
• Proven ability to design and maintain semantic or metrics layers
• Familiarity with AI/ML data patterns including RAG architectures and vector stores
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
